What is Plaza 2.0
Shorthand for organic dollar weakening as the US runs into fiscal limits. The 1985 Plaza Accord was an engineered intervention by G5 finance ministers to weaken a too-strong dollar. Same destination today, different mechanism — no multilateral accord (BRICS won't sign), but central bank de-dollarization, yuan firming as safe-haven, and oil-driven inflation outpacing Fed response get to the same end-state: dollar weakens, hard assets rip, real yields collapse, US multinationals catch a currency-translation tailwind.
